Although John John lives in the U.S., he also surfs for Taiwan’s national team. Multiple identities and multiple hats, riding for two nations, there is a lot of pressure for a young athlete. But he doubles down. John John’s training never stops; he’s a committed competitor with a rigorous training schedule alongside his schoolwork. However, John John knows it takes more than just the athlete to achieve international success. His family and school provide a wealth of support and encouragement, allowing him the space to develop and hone his skills. Now he wants to use those skills for Taiwan.
