May I Stay Tonight? EP2
At the age of 28, Japanese store manager Ishida decided to quit his job and travel the world. Ishida’s first stop was Taiwan, where he developed his ritual: Holding a sign saying “May I Stay Tonight” to see if strangers would accommodate him. This unusual method has opened many doors for Ishida, allowing him to stay, dine, wine and connect with people from all walks of life. Having experienced ample hospitality, Ishida is determined to persist his free-spirited couch surfing lifestyle for the rest of his life. “May I Stay Tonight” is a part of the award-winning Japanese documentary series “The Nonfiction.” In this first-ever collaboration of TaiwanPlus and Fuji TV, we follow Ishida on his journey and witness the deep-seated friendship between Taiwan and Japan.
