Agent NIO travels to Madou, Tainan, looking for a temple which depicts the Eastern underworld. Starting from Madou Old Port Cultural Park, he follows a clue and finds a dance hall. There, NIO participates in the performance of the 12 Pochieh Troupe. After a successful performance, NIO is directed to Madou Daitian Temple. To complete his mission, NIO must walk through gruesome designs that resemble the 18 levels of hell in Taoist mythology. He sees what people experience when they are sent to hell, realizing that the temple’s horrifying designs are made to warn people of the consequences of crime and sin.
