The Indigenous people of Taiwan are known for their music, and the East coast of Taiwan is known for its awe-inspiring scenery. Put these two things together, and you have musicians who soulfully convey their appreciation towards the environment and the people around them. One such case is Sangpuy, a singer and musician from Katratripulr village in Taitung who has successfully brought authentic sounds from his hometown into mainstream culture. Despite having numerous accolades to his name, Sangpuy is surprisingly down to earth.
