Textile artist Irene hails from the Kalinga tribe of the Philippines, where she received inspiration from totems and patterns from her indigenous background. Irene first visits the Atayal tribe to learn traditional weaving, picks fresh plum to make preserved fruit, then tries out Hakka floral fabric and Hakka indigo dyeing.
