“Century Egg” is a short film by Director Charles Chen Barratt that invokes the feeling of returning home. “If you leave somewhere long enough,” he says, “you leave behind the memories too.” The film is part rediscovery, part trip down memory lane, and feels anything from familiar and nostaligic to almost haunting. When Daniel returns to Taiwan after several decades, he finds himself wandering a city he no longer recognizes in the company of a stranger… What must we leave behind to remember who we used to be?
