Follow the stories of these techno music DJs in Taipei and Beijing as they hope to raise the BPM and bring the music they love to a very different world after COVID-19. COVID-19 hit the world hard. Life came to a standstill almost everywhere for a moment in time, especially for the entertainment and nightlife industries. Meet SUNK, a techno DJ and music producer from Beijing, as she embarks on a journey to share her music with the world after COVID-19. Next, we meet HWA or Elvis T., a DJ and music producer from Taipei. Currently living in Taipei, Elvis T. has many years of performing as a DJ in Beijing under his belt but dreams of opening a label dedicated to old-school electronic drum machine music in Taipei. Meanwhile, in Beijing, SUNK’s ambition is to perform her own music live, but she has little experience of putting on a show in this challenging environment. So, she meets our third and final protagonist, tamiX, who has a wealth of experience with live performances. tamiX is preparing for a live tour of China with her Buchla modular instruments and synthesizers, but she also dreams of performing her music abroad.
