Lin’s road to fame began in 2007, when he participated in Taiwan’s popular television singing competition “One Million Star II.” Due to this television debut, Lin attracted the attention of Taiwanese director Fu Tien-yu, who invited Lin to star in his first acting role in 2009. Through this process, Lin also had the opportunity to work with director Ang Lee (李安) on the show’s opening video. In 2022, Lin co-starred in the film “Marry My Dead Body” (關於我和鬼變成家人的那件事). He played the role of Mao Mao, a gay ghost who marries a living, straight police officer in a traditional Taiwanese ghost wedding ceremony. The film combines Taiwanese local culture and traditions with modern social values, creating a story that expresses the unique identity of modern day Taiwan.
