Thailand Reportedly Ignored U.S., Canadian Asylum Offers for Deported Uyghurs

Reuters reports that the U.S. and Canada had offered asylum to 48 Uyghurs detained in Thailand, some of whom have been deported back to China over objections by the United Nations and human rights groups. Bangkok reportedly chose to disregard the asylum offers in order to avoid angering Beijing.
