South Korea's impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol is accused of imposing military rule without valid constitutional reasons and faces removal less than three years into his five-year presidential term. He argued in court that his actions were lawful and necessary to protect the country from a national crisis and denied acting out of personal interest.
