Chinese Spy Plan Violates Japanese Airspace for First Time

A Chinese spy plane has entered Japan's airspace for the first time, according to the Japanese defense ministry. Japanese fighter jets were scrambled and warnings directed at the Y-9 spy plane after it crossed into the ADIZ. The spy plane then entered Japan's airspace south of Nagasaki City. Ministry officials say no flares or weapons were fired. Japanese authorities sent a strong protest to the Chinese embassy, summoning an official on Monday evening.
