More Reactions to Trump Comments About Defending Taiwan
Several senior officials in Taipei have responded to comments made by U.S. Republican nominee Donald Trump about Taiwan needing to pay the U.S. for defense. In their responses, the premier and foreign affairs ministry said that while relations remain strong, Taiwan is focusing on developing its domestic defense capabilities.
