Taiwan Blacklists Chinese Schools Over Alleged United Front Links

Taiwan has blacklisted three Chinese schools from engaging in student exchange programs with Taiwan. The education minister said that Huaqiao University, Jinan University and the Beijing Chinese Language and Culture College were being controlled by the United Front Work Department, a Chinese Communist Party body that gathers intelligence on and attempts to influence “elite individuals” from outside China, including Taiwan.
