Lai Presses Lawmakers Again To Pass US$40B Special Defense Budget
President Lai Ching-te is once more pressing Taiwan’s legislature to approve his record special defense budget. He said failure to pass the US$40 billion budget could raise doubts in the international community about Taiwan's determination to defend itself.
