Indigenous Songs Revived After 1960s Recordings Returned to Taiwan
In the 1960s, scholars traveled across Taiwan to record indigenous songs in a bid to preserve the music. But many of the recordings were lost or forgotten. Now the collection is being brought to life again, thanks to a gift from a German university.
