Taiwan Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung has urged European democracies to avoid becoming overly dependent on China, warning that reliance on Beijing poses not only economic risks but also challenges to freedom and sovereignty. Speaking at the Warsaw Security Forum on Tuesday, Lin said China's authoritarian ideology is fundamentally incompatible with Europe's democratic values. He promoted the "Taiwan model" as an alternative built on shared democratic principles and highlighted Taiwan's growing economic ties with Europe. These include chip giant TSMC's expansion in Germany and electronics manufacturer Foxconn's investment in France.
