Authorities Wary as Work Begins After Lunar New Year Holiday
On Monday, Taiwan’s Central Epidemic Command Center reported two new local cases of COVID-19 and 47 new imported ones. It is keeping the current Level 2 epidemic alert in place until the end of the month. It also announced that an entry ban on migrant workers from the Philippines and Vietnam will be lifted from Feb. 15th. As workers return from the nine-day Lunar New Year holiday, authorities are focused on ramping up disinfection work. Louise Watt reports.
