Accessing suitable therapy and mental health support is challenging for many, especially among BIPOC communities. Current methods are not always equipped to deal with historical and generational trauma and seeking help can be stigmatized. So, how do we decolonize therapy and make it effective for all? We discuss the challenges of getting the right assistance in Taiwan and the U.S. and how it should not be a one-size-fits-all approach.
