Taiwan’s Constitutional Court has been holding debates about the constitutionality of the death penalty since earlier this year. We spoke to Lin Hsin-yi, the executive director for the Taiwan Alliance to End the Death Penalty, and Taipei City Councilor Wang Hsin-i about the effectiveness of the death penalty in deterring crime.
