It takes Tom Rook three months to a year to finish a painting. When Rook set out to draw a map of Taiwan, he wanted people to recognize their own houses on the map. His "Insect Series" was inspired by his reflections on Taiwan's shrinking green spaces and wildlife habitats at the expense of development. The work is a reminder of the importance of environmental conservation.
