Hsieh Yi-che is a 3rd generation soy sauce maker who insists on brewing soy sauce over a woodfire and fermenting it in the hot sun in a red vat. To prevent traditional black bean soy sauce from disappearing in Taiwan, Hsieh strives to unite Taiwan's soy sauce industry and introduce Taiwan's soy sauces to the world. He doesn't just want to make soy sauce, but soy sauce filled with culture.
