President Tsai: Gov’t Hopes to Raise Minimum Wage Every Year
Taiwan’s government is hoping to raise the minimum wage every year. President Tsai Ing-wen spoke about the possibility during a meeting of the Taiwan Confederation for Trade Unions. Her administration has already raised minimum wages every year since she took office six years ago. That’s despite the difficulties that the COVID pandemic has caused for many industries.
