TaiwanPlus announces the return of “Whirlwind Trip,” bringing its signature mix of high-energy travel and immersive storytelling back for a second season. Built around a 24-hour time limit, each episode packs in a carefully curated selection of the most compelling and unexpected experiences across Taiwan.
While the first season focused on major urban centers, Season 2 ventures further afield into lesser-known regions that reveal a more intimate, nature-driven, and culturally rich side of Taiwan. With locations thoughtfully selected and arranged for a smooth, connected journey, viewers receive a practical and inspiring guide for exploring Taiwan, simultaneously gaining a deeper perspective on what makes the island nation truly distinctive.
Hosts Kevin Chang and Penny Shen return with their charming, ready for anything approach, taking on activities ranging from river tracing and karting to hot air ballooning, paragliding, boating, and skating. This season’s highlights include the dramatic mountains and coastlines of Taitung, the tranquil cypress forests of Alishan, and the unexpected discoveries found in Taoyuan, Taiwan’s international gateway.
