Taipei, June 13, 2025 — TaiwanPlus commemorated a major milestone for its flagship geopolitical program “Taiwan Talks” with a guest appreciation event held at the Grand Formosa Regent Taipei. The celebration honored some of the individuals and thought leaders who have contributed to the show’s growth since its launch in 2022, as “Taiwan Talks” surpassed 125,000 YouTube subscribers and amassed over 20 million total views.
Now the most-watched program on TaiwanPlus, “Taiwan Talks” has become a trusted platform for global audiences seeking in-depth analysis of international affairs from a Taiwan perspective. The show features a diverse lineup of guests—including policymakers, diplomats, scholars, and business leaders—offering multifaceted insights on critical regional and global issues.
President of Taiwan’s Public Television Service (PTS), Cindy Shyu, applauded the show’s evolution, while TaiwanPlus CEO Michael Yu highlighted the show’s rapid growth and expanding international footprint, noting that “‘Taiwan Talks’ is central to our mission of bringing Taiwan’s voice into the global conversation. These numbers reflect both the program’s quality and its relevance in today’s media landscape.”

National Chung Hsing University Professor and Taiwan’s new Representative to India, Chen Mu-min referenced his experience, that geopolitics and semiconductors have brought Taiwan into the Indian media consciousness. National Cheng Chi University Professor Yan Chen-Sheng spoke of his past experience watching high profile American political analysis shows, celebrating the fact that now Taiwan Talks can fulfill this role in the Taiwanese media space.
