As the threat from China gets more real, Taiwanese are facing an existential challenge. Today, we talk to the co-founder of one of Taiwan’s largest civilian defense organizations. And we discuss the outsize role cognitive or information warfare plays for Beijing in Taiwan. In an exclusive interview, Kuma Academy’s co-founder Puma Shen tells me the extent of China’s influence and interference operations in Taiwan. Puma is also the chairperson of Doublethink Lab, which specializes in disinformation, an associate professor at National Taipei University, and the Vice President of Taiwan Association for Human Rights.
