India was one of eight nations to participate in the Russia and Belarus-hosted Zapad war games, while China welcomed attendees from about 100 countries to its annual Xiangshan Forum. These shows of strength by Moscow and Beijing come as Washington seems to be almost deliberately trying to humiliate and offend its partners and treaty allies. For example, by detaining and deporting South Korean workers at a Hyundai factory in Georgia. But is US President Donald Trump now trying to patch things up with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi? In this episode, we discuss India’s non-alignment policy, Beijing’s diplomatic show of force, and whether Trump’s policies are hastening the rise of a multipolar world.
