Superpowers Turn Their Attention to Taiwan
Host: Betty Chen Weekly news magazine The Economist has featured the Taiwan on the cover of its early May 2025 edition with the title “The Taiwan Test: It’s Closer Than You Think.” The magazine argues that the shifting geopolitical landscape under U.S. President Trump has created a potential window of opportunity for China, which would test America’s resolve. Our guests: Peifen Hsieh - International Cooperation and Development Fund Deputy Secretary General Wang Kai-chun - Kuomintang (KMT) Department of International Affairs Assistant Director
