Given Taiwan’s precarious, unique international status, city diplomacy has become a crucial tool in representing the country on the global stage. From fostering ties with key allies like Japan and the Czech Republic to advancing human rights and soft power initiatives, city diplomacy has strengthened Taiwan's global presence and helped counter Chinese aggression. In this episode of “Taiwan Talks,” we delve into Taiwan's soft power through city diplomacy as well as areas in which the country can foster soft power.
