According to the South China Morning Post, Brazilian officials are in talks with China regarding participation in China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and a cross-minister working group has been formed for the matter. With China seeking to make Brazil its largest trading partner in South America, what can we infer about Beijing’s goals in the region?
