Beijing tested an intercontinental ballistic missile, or ICBM, with a dummy warhead for the first time in 40 years outside its own borders. Analysts say the dummy warhead used traveled around the distance required to reach continental America, landing close to French Polynesia. China is aiming to build a world-class military by 2035.
