The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill that could ban TikTok across the country unless the Chinese-owned short video app is sold by parent company ByteDance. TikTok has mounted an extensive PR campaign to thwart passage of the bill, including urging users and influencers to petition their members of Congress.
