After Israel declared war on Hamas, the U.S. deployed an aircraft carrier to the eastern Mediterranean and later conducted naval exercises with Japan and South Korea. The carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt visited Busan in South Korea, highlighting the rare presence of U.S. carriers in the Taiwan Strait over the past two decades.
