In July, Lithuania will host the NATO Summit. Zygimantas Pavilionis is the Chair of the Lithuanian Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, a former Deputy Defense Minister and a former Ambassador to the United States. He was the proponent of the resolution to invite Ukraine to join NATO in July, which was unanimously adopted by the Lithuanian parliament.
