In the first part, we discussed geopolitical comparisons between Taiwan and Israel-Palestine. Today we ask whether Taiwan’s defense can learn lessons from Israel. Guermantes Lailari a retired US Air force Foreign Area Officer specializing in counterterrorism, irregular warfare, and missile defense. He was a United States Air Force Attaché in the Middle East, and served in Iraq. Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs sponsored him as a Taiwan Fellow during 2022 and he will continue his research in 2023 at National Chengchi University in Taipei.
