Hsieh and Liang Take Gold in Asian Games All-Taiwan Tennis Doubles Final

Hsieh Su-wei and Liang En-shuo won gold in an all-Taiwan women’s tennis doubles final at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan, defeating compatriots Chan Hao-ching and Wu Fang-hsien in three sets. The result gave Taiwan its fifth gold medal of the Games. There were also bronzes for Taiwan in team golf, taekwondo and softball. As of the latest results reported Saturday, Taiwan had notched five golds, 17 silvers and 33 bronzes for 55 medals overall at this year's Games.

It was an all-Taiwan showdown in the final of the women’s tennis doubles at the Asian Games in Japan.

In a three-set nailbiter, the pairing of Hsieh Su-wei and Liang En-shuo came out the winners. Compatriots Chan Hao-ching and Wu Fang-hsien had to settle for silver.

There was another medal for Taiwan in the women's team golf event, with the trio of Yani Tseng, Chien Pei-yun and Hsu Wei-ling taking bronze.

Elsewhere, there was a bronze for Lin Wei-chun in taekwondo. And another team bronze for Taiwan in women's softball. That brings Taiwan's total medal count to 55, including five Golds. The Asian Games conclude on Sunday.
