For British Pakistani Salma Iqbal, a brief trip to Taiwan sparked a life-changing connection. Despite a language barrier, she formed an instant bond with a local firefighter. Salma soon found that Hakka family values mirrored her own Pakistani upbringing, making Taiwan feel like a home away from home.
