Bhutanese artist Dorji Wangchuk first arrived in Taiwan in 2012 for what was intended to be a single art exhibition but the visit soon became a life-changing journey. By 2018, he had married into a Taiwanese family and established a new home in Miaoli. In this episode of Hakka TV’s Home Sweet Home, we follow Dorji as he adapts to life in Taiwan, shares his artistic vision with the local community and blends the cultural traditions of his homeland with those of the place he now calls home.
