U.S., France Offer Different Wording on Taiwan After Presidential Call

The U.S. and French readouts of a call between their two presidents have given different wordings on Taiwan. The U.S. readout says that the two leaders discussed the “importance of maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.” But the French version made no direct mention of Taiwan.
