Slovak Legislative Delegation in Taiwan to Boost Tech, Trade Ties

Taiwan’s president, Tsai Ing-wen, met visiting lawmakers from Slovakia as the two countries look to strengthen cooperation in trade and technology. It’s the second visit by Slovakian lawmakers in six months, and comes as several EU countries are deepening their ties with Taiwan. TaiwanPlus reporter Louise Watt spoke to Marcin Jerzewski, an analyst for the Taipei Office of the European Values Center for Security Policy, a Czech thinktank, to find out what’s behind the warming ties.
