U.S. Commerce Secretary: Chip Reliance on Taiwan ‘Untenable and Unsafe’

U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo has described her country’s reliance on Taiwanese semiconductors as "untenable and unsafe". That's as Congress is pressing ahead with the CHIPS Act, a bill to pour more than US$50 billion into the U.S. chip industry.
