Taiex Breaks Another Record

Taiwan’s stock market broke yet another record on Monday.  

The benchmark Taiex closed up 2.75%, surpassing 47,700 points.  

The rally was mainly driven by TSMC, whose shares reached a record high after strong gains in US tech stocks. Japanese and South Korean stocks also rallied on reported progress in US-Iran peace talks.

 

Taiwan’s Booming Stock Market

Taiwan’s stock market broke another record on Monday amid AI rally.  

TAIEX, Taiwan’s benchmark stock index, surged past 47,000 points shortly after the market opened, reaching more than 47,800 points in early trading.  

The rally was mainly driven by market heavyweight TSMC, whose shares reached a record high after strong gains in US tech stocks. Japanese and South Korean stocks also rallied on progress in US-Iran talks.
