Taiwan’s richest people have gotten even richer thanks to the boom in AI.
Forbes recently published its list of the 50 richest people in Taiwan, whose combined net worth exceeds US$308 billion. The list includes a number of tech tycoons. It was topped by brothers Jason and Richard Chang, the majority owners of chip giant ASE Technology Holding. Foxconn founder Terry Gou was in fourth place, and TSMC founder Morris Chang ranked ninth.

Taiwan’s richest people just got richer, thanks to the AI boom.
Forbes on Wednesday published its list of the 50 richest people in Taiwan, whose combined fortunes exceeded US$308 billion this year. Among them, many lead key suppliers benefitting from the AI buildout. Topping the list, after climbing six places from last year, are brothers Jason and Richard Chang, majority owners of semiconductor packaging and testing giant ASE Technology Holding. TSMC founder Morris Chang ranked ninth, behind Foxconn founder Terry Gou in fourth place.
