The people of Taiwan have spoken. Current Vice President Lai Ching-te of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has been elected to be the next president of Taiwan. However, the DPP also lost its majority control of the legislature in this election.
To understand what the results of this election mean for the future of Taiwan and the world, we #CONNECTED with Fu-kuo Liu, professor and director of the Taiwan Center for Security Studies at National Chengchi University.
