Taiwan has thanked the organizers of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar for listing Taiwan as its own country. Originally, the ID cards for Taiwan fans had said “Taiwan, Province of China.” That’s despite the fact that Taiwan has never been governed by the People’s Republic of China.
