As most sports leagues are either halted or played before empty seats due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Taiwan's newly inaugurated basketball league, the P.League+, showcased Taiwan's success in combating the pandemic and that basketball is alive and well. Four teams participated in the league's debut season that ran from December 2020 to April 2021, marking Taiwan's return to professional basketball after 20 years.
