Lilium is a Taiwanese band formed in Taipei, Taiwan, in 2013. The band collages elements from several cultures and uses humorous lyrics on melodic vocal lines to bring out a new aesthetic sense, mixing tunes from Taiwanese Lān-Thân opera singing and rhythms from religious parades into different music genres. Switching styles between songs or even sections within one song, Lilium’s songs have characteristics of Taiwanese folk and the structure of alternative rock music.
